Mothering Sunday, 3rd April 2011 (Above)
Morning Worship - 10.00am: You will find that our worship is fairly informal and takes place in a relaxed atmosphere. In all our Main services we sing both modern songs and also some more traditional hymns, led by a worship group and worship leader. Children leave for their own groups early in the Worship Service. There are Crèche facilities available during the Morning Worship. Refreshments are served after the service.
Evening Worship: Cafe opens at 6.00pm for a chance to talk before the Worship Service starts at 6.30pm. We often have great cake to go with the tea, coffee. Our Evening Worship is relaxed and informal with a time of sung Worship, a topic related to Scripture and season and Prayer Ministry. Come along and join us.
Young Church on a Sunday - Pebbles Rock (age 3-6 years old): Fun and games while learning about God. Meeting during the Sunday Service. Pebbles Rock (years 3-6).
Young People on a Sunday - Boulders (age 7+ years old): Meet during the service, after an initial time of worship, for a lively discussion, drinks, bite to eat and plenty of fun while exploring God.
A ‘Little Lions’ Service: An hour of fun for the under 5’s. Bible based singing, drama and craft activities – 3rd Thursday each month
On the First and Third Sundays, we have a Service of the Word. This contains quite a lot of informal worship, a talk and prayers. The children usually leave after sung worship, but the young people often remain for the whole service.
On the Second and Fourth Sundays, we have a Communion Service, during which we receive bread and wine as a reminder of our Lord's sacrifice for us on the Cross. The children and young people (if they wish) leave after the initial singing, either for Young Church (children) or for St. Mark's Young People (which is usually a discussion).
Prayer Ministry is available at all Worship Services and people are encouraged to receive prayer for themselves or others. Prayer Ministry is also available after any service for those who would like it.
